About Chef Basics

chefbasics.com is a division of DFS Consultants, LLC.

In 1997, after a long and successful career in commercial garment sales for one of the leading uniform manufacturers in the US, Chris Dennant decided that he wanted to bring a more personal touch to working with clients. He established DFS Consultants, LLC, and purchased BUYAPRONS.com, one of the first textile companies on the Internet, and began the 10 year journey of transforming that site which originally offered a variety of information about various types of uniform purchasing and textiles, to become one of the leading websites providing a variety of companies and individuals with aprons and food & beverage textiles.

As the years progressed, the site grew to carry over a 100 different styles of aprons, and branched out when clients started asking for table cloths, uniform accessories and chef wear items. DFS Consultants, LLC via Buyaprons.com happily added these items and continued to provide the unique customer service that was missed in dealing with large
uniform manufacturers.

In 2004, the DFS Consultants, Inc. grew again when it created its first two spin off websites, www.satcia.com and www.buy-a-case.com as a result of demand for custom embroidery for aprons, and a wholesale outlet for large quantities of textiles.

In 2009, we are proud to launch www.chefbasics.com. The demand for our line of quality chef apparel has come to a point that it need its own website to handle the increased volume. Within the site you will find a wide range of products to meet every quality level of chef apparel and F&B garments.

DFS Consultants, LLC is the brain child of Chris Dennant who wanted to bring a personal touch to the uniform sales business. Mr. Dennant has spent over 20 years in the uniform business. As a result, he is able to bring a wide range of experience to assist his clients.

In addition, he has developed relationships with experts in Procurement, Materials Management, and Manufacturing that bring over 75 years of experience that he utilizes in servicing his customers.
