The mother of pearl name refers to the inner layer of the mollusk where the material is found, often pearl oysters used for culturing pearls. The large shells from warm seas produce the thickest layers of mother of pearl. The earrings are not heavy and very comfortable to wear.The photo shows the enlargement of the same earrings.
